Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog-site
I am an individual, like many, with goals and ambitions, one of which is to be employed in the TV and Film industry, as a production runner. I know I share the same dream as 1/2 the population who want to get into media, but I just thought I should share with you guys what I get up to, in order to achieve this goal. Although I have past experience within Media, this has pushed me to learn more, and that is what I intent to do.
So be sure to check back on my blog, where you can follow my journey into the unknown and what I get up to from now, till I enter the world of media and creativity.

Production Assistant is a good starting place but aim higher.
Absolutely, this is my starting point. I have a plan and I am sticking to it!

Hello, Glad to see that you seem to be doing well. I have nominated you for the Liebster Award. If you have time, I hope you will accept it. Please visit my post: http://kyushujapan.com/2013/07/01/liebster-award-me-too-thanks/
Hi, thank you for your comment and your positive praises. WOW, thank you for that too, I admit I have never been nominated for an award of that nature before, how do you go about doing that? There are more posts to follow, hope you enjoy reading them π
Hi,
Copy and paste the banner from my post, write 11 random facts about yourself, answer my 11 questions I listed in my post, nominate 11 blogs you follow or recently visited and liked and give them your 11 new questions (gee, a lot of work!)
I was nominated 6 months ago! I almost forgot about it, but I worked on it last week. I don’t know 11 bloggers to nominate, so I will leisurely visit and find other blogs to nominate over the next months. No hurry, no deadline.
Itβs a lot of work, but itβs kind of fun to do it.
I will keep reading your blog and will cheer for you from far away.
Hi again! Actually I have two blogger awards. You can choose either Liebster or Versatile Award. Versatile is less cumbersome than Liebster (I think). Here are my pages for the awards:

Have a nice weekend!
Oh, I see I did not know that and now I do. I do not mind which award to be nominated for. Whichever one thing is appropriate for my blog. I am currently answering the questions you set I am a little confused about one; the question about favourite holiday do you mean seasonal or holiday I have had out of the country. I just need to find 11 blogs to nominate, I have some questions in mind once I have them done I will post them on the site. Thank you again for the nomination and have a great weekend too π
Hi, any holiday will be fine. Seasonal holiday or whatever! Have you lived overseas? These awards are good opportunities to know more about other bloggers. I am looking forward to knowing more about you!
Thanks for the like on my post Kathryn
No problem, look pretty awesome
Hi Kathryn,
I have just stumbled upon your blog, and I just wanted to say how you’ve turned my night of being upset about not getting any film job replies, into something more positive. I’ve just graduated with a degree in film and am looking to be a production assistant. I’ve applied to around 100+ jobs (no exaggeration!) and have not even heard an “unsuccessful”- wish they’d treat us like human beings! Keep up your excellent blog, as I’d love to hear more about your journey into the media world and I wish you the best of luck with your media dreamz.

Hi Emma
Thank you for your comments regarding my blog and postings. I am sorry to hear that you haven’t heard from any of the companies you have applied for. It is a hard game to get into, and it was for me. I would get very deflated from not hearing from people/ companies or get the ‘thank you for applying…I am sad to inform you that you have been unsuccessful’. So I decided to change that by doing volunteer work in local and regional communities, and it lead to more doors opening. I have heard stories how people and even my sister would belittle the idea of volunteering as you don’t get paid, but to a prospective employer it shows how you are prepared to put yourself out there and work to get the skills that are required for this industry. I have done everything from volunteering at a local theatre as stage crew to paid internships, from go onto volunteering websites to find opportunities to get involved in activities at university and applying for work experience with the BBC/ ITV. This effectively lead to my first break then slowly my next, and it certainly true that it is not what you know but who. Many people kept telling me to give up when I kept being rejected, but I thought no I worked too damn hard at university to get my degree, and I had decided that I wouldn’t go to university unless I have figured out what I had wanted to work towards becoming.
If you need any tips or have any questions you think I maybe able to answer, feel free to ask or try to pick my brains on. I will stop writing war and peace now, lol, and catch you later. Reading your comment also made my day even though it is nearly 3am, so I appreciate what you have written as feedback. I will part with a made up motto that if I could have as a family motto would be in Latin ‘NEVER SURRENDER’. π
Thanks Kathryn for liking my blog. I had fun browsing your very colorful and fun blog site too! please come and visit my blog again. And all the best in your professional aspirations. Linda at http://www.writing4funbog.com.
